PROPOSED PLAYER MEMBERSHIP
Understand your progress.
Preserve your achievements.
6U–8U Coach Pitch: $60 annually · All players 9U and up: $100 annually.
Earn fair recognition. Know your next steps. Have a voice and somewhere to get help.
Published proposal · Services in development · Enrollment not yet open.
A. Player Profile & Development Record
A persistent identity with team/season history, positions explored, goals, dated coach assessments, authorized statistics, learning activities and earned recognition. Label data sources and dates; self-entered metrics are not independently verified.
Proposed continuity: one fee per membership period, not another charge merely for changing SICS teams. Transfer eligibility and coach permissions remain separate. Records should follow the athlete under defined access, retention and export policies.
B. Written Development Guidance
Age-appropriate written guides, checklists and beneficial drill descriptions—not an extensive player video academy or personalized training plan. Explain skill priorities, position demands, statistics, questions for instructors and ways to record goals.
Drills include purpose, age/readiness, setup, equipment, instructions, essential safety precautions and what to observe. Start with useful basics, then expand through reviewed prior-year council work. Essential safety guidance is not a paid upgrade.
6U–8U Coach Pitch · $60
Enjoyment, confidence, broad movement, basic skills and positional exploration. Participation, teamwork and milestones—not national individual talent rankings.
9U–10U · $100
Fundamentals, simple game situations, position exploration and introductory goals.
11U–12U · $100
Connect skills to decisions, repeatable skill checks and appropriate field/rule transitions.
13U–14U · $100
Athlete ownership, contextualized progress and healthy expectations through growth and changing coordination.
15U & up · $100
Relevant development priorities, portfolios and pathway education. Youth/adult needs differ; college recruitment is not every member’s goal.
C. Statistics & Leaderboards
Proposed verified season/event statistics and regional/national statistical leaderboards, filtered by playing age and classification with minimum participation, visible sources, update dates and correction procedures. Compare like conditions and sufficient samples; missing data is unavailable, not poor performance.
Individual statistical leaderboards are separate from team Elo ratings and subjective prospect rankings. No universal numbered player-talent ranking is promised. Full analytics require authorized data access, reliable scoring and consistent definitions; scores alone cannot support them.
D. Highlights, Awards & Achievement Record
Eligibility for selected player/position spotlights, improvement stories, tournament recaps, academic and community features. Proposed awards: Player/Pitcher of the Month, All-Tournament Teams, position excellence, Most Improved, sportsmanship, leadership and Scholar-Athlete recognition.
Publish nominations, thresholds, selection criteria, reviews and corrections. Council specialists may advise with conflicts disclosures and recusals. Membership buys eligibility—not guaranteed awards or publicity. Preserve earned honors, verified achievements and selected features in the profile.
Permitted video links or submitted game clips may showcase performance, subject to media rights and guardian consent. These are highlights, not training videos. Professional reel production and premium clipping/hosting are separate unless contracted.
E. Player Progress Summary
Present strengths, evidence of improvement, one or two priorities and suggested next steps. Provide baseline, midseason and end-of-season templates plus athlete reflections. Distinguish statistics, coach observations and self-reports.
The tools do not guarantee personal expert reviews: human feedback needs an identified participating coach or funded reviewer. Statistics do not diagnose technique, injury or performance causes.
F. Family Guide, Education & Athlete Voice
A linked guardian account is proposed without another parent fee. Explain inclusions, extra costs, rankings/awards, transfers, privacy, corrections and help contacts. Family resources address constructive support, coach communication, interpreting progress and appropriate pathways.
Proposed quarterly shared athlete/family sessions require funded staffing; no schedule is live. Older-athlete resources may include school research, academic planning and communication templates without promised college-coach access or recruiting outcomes.
Private, age-appropriate check-ins ask what athletes enjoy, what they want to improve and whether they feel supported. Offer guardian-supported feedback and consider a moderated older-athlete advisory group. No unrestricted adult–minor messaging or public wellbeing scores.
G. Participation, Fairness & Help
Link individual registration to teams and eligible programs under published rules. Membership does not guarantee an event entry, team berth, selection, playing time, scouting attention, scholarship or award. Standalone enrollment outside SICS teams remains a proposed option needing final rules.
Before launch, staff channels for account/statistic corrections, privacy requests and safety concerns with clear responsibility, escalation and realistic response expectations. Publish screening and safeguarding requirements; paid membership is not proof a coach has been screened or cleared. Background checks alone are not a safety guarantee.
Private by Default, Shared by Choice
Guardian-managed access for younger athletes and appropriate controls for older youth/adults. Keep detailed assessments and sensitive records private. Public sharing requires appropriate consent; do not publish birthdates, private weaknesses or sensitive health information as leaderboards.
SICS Guidance & Optional Pivotal Training
SICS explains progress and development priorities; Pivotal Performance is the proposed optional paid pathway for personalized instruction. Assessments, custom plans, private/small-group lessons, supervised correction and reassessments are separate services whose availability and pricing must be confirmed before booking.
Families can choose Pivotal or another provider. Disclose the SICS–Pivotal relationship and referral compensation, if any; obtain consent before sharing athlete information. Training purchases must never influence ratings, awards, spotlights or qualification. Permissioned, sourced provider assessments may contribute to development records.
The approved coach membership’s council sessions and instructional resources remain unchanged. SICS player membership must provide standalone value without requiring a training purchase.
Separate From Player Dues
- Team/coach dues, event entries, camps/showcases, travel and lodging.
- Individual lessons, private expert assessments and medical care.
- Premium recruiting/video subscriptions and professional reel production.
- Equipment, uniforms and insurance unless specifically contracted and included.
No provider access, insurance or discounts are represented as secured. Disclose any paid dependencies before enrollment.

COACH MEMBERSHIP
$100 per coach / year
Five communities. Ongoing development. A meaningful voice in better coaching practice.
One price for head coaches and assistants; one membership across the teams they coach. Approved membership design—program delivery and enrollment are not yet open.
All five council communities
Participate in Pitchers, Catchers, Middle Infield, Outfield and 1st/3rd. Ask questions, share experiences and apply to working groups. Board appointments remain separate.
Monthly council sessions
One live session per council each month: 60 sessions across SICS annually, not 60 required sessions per coach. Members can attend across all councils and access recordings and takeaways.
A library that grows through practice
Launch with basics for every age band, practice-planning and player-development templates, and introductory guidance for all five positions. Release additional resources throughout the year—not a complete academy on day one.
Each following year, turn prior-year council work into reviewed practice plans, position progressions, case studies, assessment tools and updated guides. Current-year recordings can be available before the next polished annual resource release. Existing reviewed resources are not withheld from new members simply because they joined later.
Quarterly Practice Labs
One monthly session per quarter becomes a Practice Lab—not an additional event series. Each council’s 12 annual sessions comprise eight instructional/discussion sessions and four Practice Labs.
Submit a plan or coaching problem for group discussion. Selected examples support shared learning; submission does not guarantee individual review. Questions and peer discussions continue between sessions.
Annual council direction meeting
Each council opens the floor to review the year, identify gaps and opportunities, set priorities and explain ways to become involved. Meetings may take place during the planned SICS International Baseball Congress, with remote member participation available without buying a convention ticket.
Publish outcomes and next steps. This member-direction meeting is distinct from the separately priced annual Congress. Formal voting rights will be defined in council charters. See the annual Congress, smaller events and international plan →
Help shape coaching practice
Suggest topics, comment on draft recommendations, join field pilots, contribute cases and tools, and nominate qualified council candidates. Participation does not automatically endorse a submitted method.
Profile and development record
Document coaching background, interests, council participation and completed SICS learning activities. Participation certificates recognize involvement—not demonstrated competence or external accreditation.
Optional paid SICS Coach Certification
Separate from the $100 membership. Fees will be set after defining assessment workload. This would initially be a SICS-issued credential, not government licensure or externally accredited status.
Coaching Foundations
Age-appropriate athlete development, practice design, communication and safeguarding, with knowledge assessment, a submitted practice plan and an assessed teaching demonstration.
Position Specialist
Specialist pathways through each council: position learning, applied scenarios and observed or recorded coaching assessed against a published rubric.
Required safeguards: trained assessors, transparent criteria, conflict controls, pass/reassessment rules, appeals, renewal requirements and a verifiable credential record. Payment buys education and assessment—not a guaranteed pass.
TEAM MEMBERSHIP
$250 per team / year
A team identity and development dashboard, a verified competitive record, an earned championship pathway, and practical support strengthened by the five SICS councils.
Approved membership model · Services in development · Enrollment not yet open.
Player membership supports the athlete. Coach membership develops the coach. Team membership connects those people to a shared development and competitive pathway. Proposed administration is one registration per rostered team, with organization-level management for multi-team clubs; final registration, season and continuity rules remain to be defined.
A. Team Profile & Development Dashboard
Where are we now? Where are we improving? What needs attention? What should we do next?
Team identity and administration
- Persistent SICS team ID, playing age, classification and home region.
- Registered roster and coaching staff; season-specific eligibility and membership status.
- Roster-change and transfer history, verified results and qualification status.
- Team goals and development priorities.
Offense
On-base percentage, walk and strikeout rates, runs per inning and trends in creating scoring opportunities.
Pitching
Walk and strikeout rates per batter faced, runs allowed per inning, strike percentage when reliable pitch data exists, and workload records for coach review—not medical clearance.
Defense
Recorded errors relative to opportunities plus coach-assessed positioning, communication and execution. Scoring judgments vary; errors alone do not describe defensive quality.
Baserunning
Stolen-base success rate, outs on the bases and coach-assessed reads, decisions and execution.
Team development
Practice priorities, completed practice blocks, repeatable skill assessments, selected goals and optional private attendance records.
Indicators must match age and rules. Player-pitch statistics do not apply unchanged to coach pitch. Imported statistics and coach-entered assessments will be clearly distinguished. Detailed metrics depend on authorized data access and consistent definitions; missing data means unavailable, not poor performance.
Progress into action
Show a season baseline, recent and season-long trends, strengths and priorities, sample size, data completeness and last update. Compare the team primarily against its own past performance. Opponent strength, roster changes and sample size provide context; peer comparisons require enough comparable data.
- Select one to three priorities.
- Assign a responsible coach.
- Link an appropriate council resource.
- Set a practice objective and review date.
- Record progress and adjust the plan.
The dashboard flags patterns; it does not diagnose causes from statistics alone. No single opaque team-development score is promised.
Public team profile
Team identity, permitted roster information, verified results and rankings, earned qualification and achievements.
Private staff dashboard
Improvement priorities, practice plans, assessments, attendance, workload details and coaching notes. Families may receive coach-approved summaries; individual minors’ weaknesses and sensitive information are not public leaderboards.
B. Competitive Standing & Rankings
Proposed regional standings and national comparisons where connected competition supports them, with game-by-game rating history, strength-of-schedule context, provisional status, corrections and appeals.
A transparent, independently implemented Elo-style system is proposed, informed by Alliance’s approach but requiring testing for SICS baseball. Rules must define eligible games, pool/bracket weights, ties, forfeits, shortened games, season carryover, age changes, roster continuity, minimum samples and disputed or duplicate results.
Competitive ratings are separate from development indicators. Purchases, coach certification and council attendance do not earn rating boosts. Playing ages are distinct from membership price bands; competitive classification names and structure remain open decisions.
C. Championship Eligibility & Advancement
Membership provides the opportunity to earn qualification—not a guaranteed berth or included event entry. Planned tools include an approved calendar, eligibility rules, qualification tracking, acceptance deadlines and seeding consideration under published rules.
SICS Ranking Event
Approved, verified eligible results contribute to team ratings. No automatic berth is implied.
SICS Qualifier
Awards specified postseason berths and may also count toward ratings. Designation and terms must be announced before registration.
Championship vision—not final regulations
Combine geographic representation and advancement inspired by Little League with regional stages and championship series inspired by college baseball: approved events → regional qualification → SICS championship stages → championship final. No affiliation with Little League or the NCAA is implied.
Proposed starting format for one defined playing division: eight teams, two four-team double-elimination brackets, and a best-of-three final between bracket winners. Final adoption depends on pitching rest, game limits, duration, weather contingencies and family costs. Larger regional/super-regional structures can follow participation growth.
13U and 14U may share a price without sharing a playing bracket. “15U & up” does not authorize unrestricted youth/adult competition. The existing youngest-age regional-first planning approach remains; age-specific formats, regions and berths must be finalized.
D. Council-Connected Team Development
Team resources include age-appropriate development plans, position coverage and practice rotation tools, evaluation worksheets and seasonal review templates. Begin with useful fundamentals and expand through reviewed prior-year council work rather than promise a complete academy immediately.
Each participating coach’s separate $100 annual membership provides all five councils, monthly sessions, quarterly Practice Labs within those sessions, a growing resource library and opportunities to raise team practice problems. This does not create another meeting requirement or guarantee private consulting.
For example: a team identifies weak cutoff communication; its coach uses an Outfield Council resource, adjusts practice, and reviews progress in the dashboard. Team dues do not replace individual coach memberships.
E. Team Representation & Community Input
A designated team representative can participate in an annual regional meeting, raise scheduling and classification concerns, suggest events for approval, comment on proposed policies and identify improvements. Meeting outcomes and next steps should be published.
Position councils guide coaching practice. A separate competition function should administer ratings, qualification and appeals. Formal voting rights and governance responsibilities remain to be defined.
Technology & Data Delivery
Authorized integrations with GameChanger, AthletesGoLive, tournament systems or another suitable provider are potential routes. No API access, provider agreement or automated import is secured. Visible data is not automatically licensed for reuse; no private-API reverse engineering or shared passwords are proposed.
Ratings need team/opponent IDs, event/game IDs, date, final score/status, division, pool/bracket designation where relevant, corrections and verification source. Richer analytics require permitted box-score or play-by-play statistics, reliable roster matching and consistent definitions, supplemented by labeled coach assessments.
Authorized feed or submission → identity matching → validation → verified game record → ratings and dashboard updates. Duplicate prevention, traceable corrections, appropriate permissions and safeguards for minors are prerequisites.
- Foundation: team registration, verified results, rating trends, goals and coach-entered assessments.
- Integrated analytics: additional indicators supported by authorized statistics feeds.
- Advanced support: reliable peer comparisons and resource recommendations.
The core dashboard belongs in the $250 package, but scores alone cannot support all analytics. Feature availability must match the data actually obtained.
External Tournament Relationships
Potential collaborators include Perfect Game, Prep Baseball, USSSA and other qualified operators. The intention is to recognize suitable existing competition rather than require a separate tournament calendar. No current partnership is represented.
Official qualifier designation requires agreement from the responsible event authority on branding, divisions, berth allocation, eligibility, results rights, disputes, cancellations, redistribution and commercial terms. A data feed does not itself create a qualifier partnership.
Separate From the $250 Team Fee
- Player dues and each coach’s $100 annual membership.
- Tournament/championship entry, travel, lodging and meals.
- Optional SICS coach certification.
- Premium third-party scoring/video subscriptions.
- Individual consulting and expert assessments.
- Insurance unless specifically contracted and included.
